What happened to Byakuya Kuchiki's fight with Nodt?

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Previous Episode 4 “Kill the Shadow” ended on a massive cliffhanger.

While Ichigo is stuck at the Garganta, the Soul Society was getting massacred.

With Four of the Major Gotei 13 having their Bankai's stolen, things aren’t looking good for Soul Society.

Based on the previous adaptations, Bleach Sennen Kessen-hen S017E05 “Wrath as a Lightning” could adapt anywhere between 5-8 chapters depending on the flow of scenes.

The real fight of Soul Society is soon to expect, so what can fans expect from Bleach Thousand Year Blood War “Wrath as a Lightning"?

Will the major fight between Zaraki Kenpachi and Yhwach include? Will Kuchiki Rukia make an appearance? What will happen to Ichigo?

Potential Spoiler Warning: The following article contains Manga-only spoilers.

What will happen to Ichigo?

Based on the chapters from 500-501, Ichigo remains trapped in Garganta.

Despite Ichigo’s struggle to free himself from the prison, he remains trapped as even Getsuga Tenshou does not work.

If the chapters are adapted based on sequence, Ichigo may or may not make an appearance until the next two-three episodes.

Poor Kurosaki Ichigo. It was really sad to see Ichigo feel restless and he felt everything, even Byakuya’s condition.

Ichigo wanted to “Protect Everyone” but it depends on his escape.

What happens to Kuchiki Byakuya?

Things are at the miserable end for Byakuya Kuchiki, Squad 6 Captain.

In Episode 4 “Kill the Shadow”, Stern Ritter “F” As Nodt stole Byakuya’s Bankai.

Without the Bankai, it’s nearly impossible to fight and escape death unless you’re Ichigo, Zaraki or Yamamoto.

Unfortunately, even Abarai Renji can’t help but experience fear and despair against the Wandenreich.

The fight between As Nodt and Kuchiki Byakuya is one of the most painful fights in Bleach Sennen Kessen-hen.

Rukia Kuchiki might make an appearance when Byakuya thinks about him during the fight.

Sadly, Byakuya loses the fight against Nodt as he renders him incapacitated and gravely injured.

Yamamoto senses Byakuya’s loss of Reiatsu.

Rukia senses his brother in danger and tries to rush to help him, but she is facing the enemy on the front lines as well.

Before Renji could use his Bankai Stern Ritter “S” Mask De Masculine interrupts the fight leaving him motionless.

Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise as Nodt couldn’t steal Renji’s Bankai. Byakuya Kuchiki will end up dead sadly.

Zaraki Kenpachi’s Against the Wandenreich

Zaraki Kenpachi

Finally, if they follow the sequence of Chapter 501, Zaraki Kenpachi might make an appearance.

Kenpachi is one of the best characters in Bleach and his presence always makes the plot intriguing.

Zaraki Kenpachi single-handedly defeats three of the Stern Ritters and makes even Yhwach acknowledge his power.

Kenpachi Zaraki is one of the most powerful Shinigami, the Captain of Squad 11 doesn’t even need to unleash his Bankai.

Imagine Zaraki in full power mode. The Wandenreich would surely be scared of his power.

It would be cool to see when Zaraki Kenpachi makes his appearance and makes the enemy see some red and blues.

Kenpachi defeats Stern Ritter “Y” Loyd Lloyd, Stern Ritter “R” Jerome Guizbatt, and Stern Ritter “Q” Berenice Gabrielli.

Stern Ritter “B” Jugram Haschwalth was impressed and surprised how Zaraki Kenpachi took three of the Stern Ritters without his Bankai.

Zaraki vs Yhwach

As usual, when it comes to fighting no one can be in a hurry compared to Zaraki Kenpachi.

Kenpachi rushed to attack Yhwach but that was not an easy fight. “His Majesty”.

The ruler of Quincies, Yhwach wouldn’t be so easily defeated.

Well, for what it’s worth, Zaraki gave his best, but Yhwach was too overpowered resulting in Zaraki’s defeat.

Will Yamamoto make an Appearance?

Episode 5 could adapt the scenes from chapter 503 “Wrath as a Lightning” when the Lieutenant of Squad 9 Shuhei Hisagi encountered Stern Ritter “O” Driscoll Berci.

As Shuhei was at a disadvantage and barely keeping up, Captain Commander Yamamoto appears.

It was one of the coolest Manga moments in Bleach Thousand Year Blood War.

The episode could either end with Stern Ritter “O” Driscoll Berci mocking and challenging Yamamoto to fight using Sasakibe’s Bankai (Lieutenant of Squad 1) or continue to show Yamaoto’s fight.

The episode can show Yamamoto and Sasakibe’s backstory of how Yamamoto got his scar on the forehead. Episodes 5 and 6 could focus on Yamamoto’s fight.

Once he’s done with him, Yamamoto rushes to face Yhwach. With the flow and pacing of the chapters, the fight would begin either in Episode 5 or 6.

It was one of the coolest chapters (“Wrath as a Lightning”) when all the Captains and Lieutenants regained their willpower with Yamamoto on the front lines.

Episode 5 foreshadowed with Zaraki’s defeat and the appearance of Yamamoto challenging Yhwach (scenes from chapter 505).
